Originally from France, Anne-Cécile Ville moved to London at 22, initially determined to become bilingual. She stayed for more than two decades — first pursuing acting, then discovering that what she really wanted was to write the stories herself.
For years, she followed the screenwriting playbook.
Write. Improve. Pitch. Enter competitions. Repeat.
Her work placed. The breakthrough didn't come.
After moving to Barcelona, Anne-Cécile eventually realised that getting one film made wasn't enough. She wanted to build a creative life that could keep making them.
So, in her 50s and with no business background, she stopped waiting to be chosen and built BF Media Lounge.
After losing her father in 2024, she invested part of her inheritance in finally backing the work herself.
