The Penis Conundrum is a sharp, surreal comedy about Laura — composed, capable, and quietly battling the shame she’s never learned to name.

After spotting an undeniably distracting bulge during a routine work meeting, her imagination spirals, sending panic from the boardroom into her private life.

What follows is hilariously uncomfortable: a collision of desire, repression, and the double standards women are still expected to navigate.

Through bold visual comedy and surreal metaphor, the film explores how women are policed around sexuality — first by culture, then by themselves.

It speaks to any woman who has ever felt silenced, ashamed, or “too much.” And it uses humour not to soften the truth — but to make it visible.

In a world that fuels anxiety and self-doubt, we’re choosing to tell a different kind of story: light without being shallow, funny without punching down.

“I wrote The Penis Conundrum following a day when sex was on my mind and I felt a little alone

because I had no idea how normal or odd my desires were because we, as women, rarely discuss them. In a world where society ruthlessly labels women as ‘whores,’ ‘good girls,, or ‘crazy,’ it can be scary to dare express our desires even in intimate settings. So, I felt that it would be a great topic to explore. Besides, we have seen plenty of boob jokes or slapstick comedy from a male perspective, but we rarely see comedies about what turns women on.”

The Characters

Laura

PROTAGONIST
Laura embodies the struggle of conforming to societal norms in a patriarchal society. Raised to suppress her intimate desires, she becomes a perfectionist, confined by traditional boundaries.
At home, her longing for genuine connection is stifled by fear of judgement. This role navigates deep emotional and comedic layers, expertly portraying the internal conflict of a woman wrestling to express her true self.
Colleague

‘PENIS GUY’
Laura’s colleague, informally dubbed ‘Penis Guy,’ represents the sexual desires that Laura suppresses and fears. His presence ignites her urge to flee, not from him but from her own challenging desires.
This role suits an actor with a strong social media influence or an influencer with acting ambitions, ideally someone like Miguel Angel Silvestre, who has solid acting skills and a passion for feminism or supporting women's and LGBTQ issues.
Chris

LAURA’S BOYFRIEND
Chris is Laura's boyfriend, who struggles with understanding women and navigating love due to being raised in a patriarchal society. He deeply loves Laura but feels insecure and inadequate, which affects their conventional sexual relationship.
Chris embodies the male challenge of intimacy and self-worth in relationships, yet his effort to connect despite these struggles highlights the potential for better understanding between men and women.

This absurdist comedy masterfully blends unexpected elements with sharp narrative focus, employing a dynamic visual style.

"The Penis Conundrum" is a comedic exploration into the complexities of intimacy, shame, and the courage it takes to confront one's true self. Through moments of vulnerability, humour, and raw honesty, Laura confronts her desires, shedding light on the importance of communication and acceptance in love. Laura represents many women’s struggles when it comes to expressing or acting out their sexual fantasies. The film will hopefully open many conversations about sex and shame.
