Your Voice Matters

“I can send you customized ChatGPT prompts that write in your own voice for free!”

This is the cheerful marketing message I received following my long and heartfelt post on LinkedIn last Friday. The person (or bot in “their voice”) had noticed that I had posted after a long dry spell and thought they’d offer their services.

I know this isn’t personal and I also use ChatGPT (it’s even a tool in my book, Reboot Your Story!), but I’ve been waiting a long time to find my voice and the confidence to share it. And one thing I know for sure is that I don’t want to outsource it.

Of course, I’ll probably use ChatGPT to support informative posts, infographics, and book quote designs, but my blogs and posts: all mine.

Besides the dubious claim that an AI tool can replicate the complexity of my voice, I feel that I’m also standing on the shoulders of the women before me who had no other choice but to quieten or tame their own.

And I’m also standing on my own shoulders - the past version of me who fought tooth and nail to find her voice again and thrive.

Reboot Your Story was born from that journey—one that taught me the power of rewriting our inner narratives to reshape the way we live, lead, and connect.
